NGONI'S SPEAK ABOUT UPCOMING ALBUM
The Ugandan duo who double as music composers and producers are currently putting final touches on their third upcoming album due to hit the market followed by launches in the East African region. The album yet to be named is a blend of different musical genres and incorporates a wider range of styles garnered to broaden their fan base across the African continent.
Two of the songs in the album ''Nina Omwami' featuring Uganda's hottest songbird Desire Luzinda and another one in honor of gold winning athlete Dorcus Inzikuru are the only songs reminiscent of the definitive Ngoni sound This album is created to incorporate different ranges of instruments,languages and production style. It is geared to broaden our market and thus include other languages like Kinyarwanda,Swahili and English.
This time we achieved a new identity that will surprise many of our die hard fans. We've fused creativity in this album,''he says. The album features strong collaborations from Tanzania's rapper Prof J,Hafsa Kazinja,Tsunami Ndogo and Chilli galz from Uganda. Ngoni is formed of Aydee and Pato.
SHEAR ILLUSIONS HEADHUNTS KHAYAK ''THE GREAT''
Shear Illusions,Tanzania's premier Hair company has hired Uganda's brilliant designer Apollo Khayak aka The Great. The company which branched into publishing hired the services of the graphic designer early July this year. Khayak who initially was contracted to Relim entertainment publishers of BANG! Magazine is reportedly happy with the offer. He is already settled at his new office at Millenium Towers.
K-LYINN BURNS CALORIES
Looks like Bongo flava diva K-lyinn loves her skinny body and would do anything to keep off calories. The Miss Tanzania 2000 is back in the gym working out everyday to keep lean and fit. A source revealed that the model spends a lot of time in a gym in Mbezi beach, a suburb in Dar es Salaam. ''K-lyinn started working out last week and she spends most of her evening in the gym. She realized that sitting in the office will make gain weight as she adores her skinny body,''added the source. The model who also owns K-lyinn Interiors Ltd, an Interior design company that is involved in consultancy and full decor services for homes. Her company;K-LYINN&CO.LTD is based in the posh Mbezi beach area along Bagamoyo road. The model has briefly rested her musical career to promote her company first. Her last album 'Crazy Over you' did not do well in the market as she expected. She handled the album's distribution and denied music distributors in Dar es Salaam the contract claiming they were never to be trusted.
TPF3 WINNER PLANS EA TOUR AND DEBUT ALBUM
The TPF 3 trio from Rwanda; Alpha, Nina and Christian have announced plans to record a joint album in the coming months.
Their album will target mainly fans in East Africa and will be accompanied by a tour of the region’s countries, namely Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania and Uganda.
They spoke as their efforts earned them shopping vouchers from Nakumatt Rwanda, for work well done during the competition.
Alpha, Nina and Christian got vouchers totalling Rwf 800,000 given to them Nakumatt Rwanda Country Manager Adan Ramata and regional marketing co-ordinator Justus Nyaga.
They also met with and signed autographs for fans before Alpha made away with a Rwf 400,000 voucher as Nina and Christian received Rwf 200,000 respectively.
Prior to the autograph session, the trio performed at the top end B-Club on Friday evening, and staged a performance at the Kigali Business Centre’s Planet Club on Saturday.
And to formally thank his Rwandese fans, Alpha disclosed that he will be hosting a family concert on October 31 at the Amahoro National Stadium in Kigali.
